Prepare for Climate Emergencies: New Online CE Courses
Emergencies can happen at any time. To help you prepare, 6 new Emergency Preparedness online Continuing Education (CE) courses are now available in the Caregiver Learning Center.
These courses teach practical skills to stay safe, take action during climate emergencies, and help you better support the people you care for. You can learn how to plan ahead, handle climate-related risks, and help clients recover after a traumatic event.

- Emergency Preparedness: Climate Change and Its Connection to Care
In this course, you will learn about the causes and effects of climate change, air pollution and climate change mitigation and adaptation. - Emergency Preparedness: Climate Change Vulnerability and Adaptation
In this course, the learner will learn about the climate change vulnerability and adaptation. - Emergency Preparedness: Climate Change, Planning and Resilience
In this course, the learner will examine how planning for climate change helps in resilience. - Emergency Preparedness: Protective Actions for Climate Change-Related and Other Emergencies
In this course, you will learn about common emergencies, sheltering and evacuation, safety measures for specific emergencies, rescue techniques and climate anxiety. - Emergency Preparedness: Communication for Climate Change-Related and Other Emergencies
In this course, you will learn about communication plans needed during emergencies. - Emergency Preparedness: Addressing Trauma After Climate Change-Related Events
In this course, you will learn about emotional, physical, psychological, and secondary trauma, its symptoms, its potential causes and ways to manage stress.
