Robust Benefits Package

As a nonprofit dedicated to the health and welfare of workers and with strong labor union roots, our commitment to our employees is demonstrated through our rich benefits package.

With extremely low copays and a vast network, many people tell us that our healthcare plan is the best they have ever had.

Medical premiums are 100% paid for you, your spouse, and dependents for all full-time employees. The insurance is automatically assigned to you based on your home address zip code. For our Washington-based employees, this is generally Kaiser Permanente of Washington or Aetna, and for our out-of-state employees, this is generally Aetna. Vision is included in the Medical plan.

Dental premiums are 100% paid for you, your spouse, and your dependents for all full-time employees. We offer a choice between Delta Dental and Willamette Dental.

Part-time employees may purchase insurance through us and share a portion of the premium costs or opt-out of our insurance.

Medical and Dental coverage begins the first full month of employment.

Pension Plan
All full-time and part-time employees are eligible for our pension plan. The pension plan is a multi-employer, defined benefit (DB) pension plan. After you qualify for participation, we will contribute 21% of your monthly earnings to your plan for every month you are employed; there is no contribution from you. After one year of service, you become a participant, and after three years of service you are vested.

401k Plan
All full-time and part-time employees are eligible to enroll in the 401k on the 1st of the month following their date of hire. Please note, there is not a 401k employer match.

MetLife Insurance
Life insurance premiums are 100% paid for all full-time employees.

We offer two plan options.
1. $50,000 life insurance policy that is not subject to FICA taxes.
2. 3xSalary(up to $250k) policy that is subject to FICA taxes.

Each plan option includes:

  • Basic Term Life Insurance
  • Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D)
  • Short Term Disability
  • Long Term Disability

Part-time employees may purchase insurance through us and share a portion of the premium costs or opt-out of our insurance.

We believe in a strong work-life balance and our paid time off benefits reflect. In year one (for full-time employees) we offer:

  • 18 vacation days.
  • 15 sick days.
  • 10 paid holidays.
  • Paid winter break the last week of the year.
  • 1 floating holiday.
  • 2 personal days.
  • 2 volunteer days.
  • 3 bereavement leave days for in-state travel, 5 days for out of state travel.

equipment.

Professional Development
To support your learning and growth, we offer a variety of professional and career development opportunities. We offer to fund $1,000 towards approved professional development in your first year. The longer you grow with us the more funding we offer each year.

And after you’ve been with us for five years, an unpaid sabbatical for up to 12 months (if approved) allows you to pursue your personal passions.
