Strengthen your essential caregiving interpersonal skills through Advanced Training!
Advanced Training is designed to give you more skills and techniques for providing care for clients with complex needs. You can build on your care knowledge and skills with topics like problem-solving, de-escalation, treatment and care plans, medication management, health literacy and client engagement.
Advanced Training will soon offer 2 specialized course options! Behavioral Health is available this Spring 2025 for enrollment and Holistic Health will be available Fall 2025.

Advanced Home Care Aide Specialist
Sheila has been working as a caregiver for over 40 years. Before Advanced Training, she often ran into issues with her client’s medication. Issues such as delayed prescription filling and struggles with correct dosages were causing problems and creating stress for Sheila. Her client also struggled with healthy eating and exercising, which contributed to a lot of stress and anxiety for the client.
Sheila found ways to deal with these issues in Advanced Training, learning new skills to encourage positive changes and help with medication management. She also learned how to navigate health literacy and empower her client to engage more in their own health choices. These new techniques were able to be put to use immediately, giving new solutions for existing issues.
Since making these changes, Sheila’s job satisfaction has improved and her client is doing much better. Completing Advanced Training also earned Sheila a raise.*

You and your client need to meet eligibility requirements to take Advanced Training. Your employer can confirm eligibility.
If you are eligible, please enroll based on your employer:
- Agency Providers (APs): contact your agency to enroll.
